Vacancies: Computing Teacher

Dates: Starting January 2025
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Contract: Full-time (2-year initial contract)
Remuneration: Competitive salary with housing allowance, medical insurance, and
settling-in allowance for internationally hired staff.

Ambrosoli International School is a popular early years and primary school on a green and leafy campus in a quiet suburb of Kampala. The school has a large international community and a strong community feel. We follow the National Curriculum for England and the International Primary Curriculum. Ambrosoli seeks an energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious primary computing teacher to join our team as soon as possible.

The school is currently going through a process of growth and development with regard to curriculum, technology, and accreditation, and thus, this is an exciting time to join our team. This full-time position requires an immediate start and is ideal for an educator passionate about inspiring young learners through technology and innovation.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computing across the primary year groups and designing engaging lessons that develop digital literacy, computational thinking, coding and problem-solving skills. You will be integral to our commitment to fostering a forward-thinking learning environment and preparing students for a digital future.

Key Reponsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons aligned with the English National curriculum and ICT framework
  • Inspire a love of technology and digital learning among students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and integrate technology into other subject areas
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
